LA. Adam Gerber (d. 1796)


LA. Adam Gerber (d. 1796) arrived at Philadelphia Sept. 26, 1749 on the ship Dragon from Rotterdam via Deal, England. This is likely Adam Gerber, who first appears on the 1756 tax list of Warwick Twp., weaver of Warwick Twp. and wife Barbara, who sold Oct. 2, 1767, 48 acres in Warwick Twp (now Penn Twp.) to Henry Koch, also a weaver of Warwick Twp., land patented Sept. 15, 1761 by Adam Gruber. [1] He shows on the 1771 Warwick Twp. tax list with 49 acres and in 1778 was listed in Capt. John Gingery's Co., 9th Batt., Lancaster Co. Militia of Col. John Huber. [2] Adam Gerber, weaver of Warwick and Rapho Twp., died in 1796 with no issue. [3]
